USA, foal cloned from DNA preserved for 42 years

That is an instance of Przewaski’s horse, which is at risk of extinction.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park proclaims beginning of a Przewaski horse foal, a Clone created with DNA saved for 42 years. Przewaski’s horses are an endangered breed. The newcomer is a part of a breeding program aimed toward growing the genetic variety of this uncommon species. The horse named Kurt was born to a surrogate mom who was a domesticated quarter horse. Wolf is a clone of male Przewalski stallion whose DNA was frozen 42 years in the past on the Alliance’s Wildlife Biodiversity Financial institution.

Przewaski’s male horse is the primary foal born on the San Diego Zoo Safari Park since 2014. Till 1994, Przewalski’s horse was regarded as extinct within the wild.
